First Impressions + Permissions

☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Slaine stands at 5'7" with a somewhat lanky build, although he looks pretty average for a kid his age. His soft, platinum blond hair tends to be messier in the back, although there are usually some stray strands sticking up from the top of his head as well. He's got bright green eyes to go with it all, although one might get the impression of someone dispirited if they look real closely. He also does have quite a number of scars on his chest and back but he won't be showing that off unless he has to.  ♚ FASHION: Uniforms!? No really, we've pretty much only ever seen him wear uniforms with a couple of choice exceptions (none of which were of his own choosing so). With that said, in his backstory manga and some extra art, he seems to favor sweaters and long sleeves to go with a nice pair of pants. All of this might be moot here anyways unless he gets some clothing back!! ♚ DEMEANOUR: Slaine has good posture to go along with an unassuming and mild personality. However, it's less dignified and more servile in nature; it's not uncommon for him to bow or duck his head in deference to another person, which matches with his polite and formal manner of speech. Overall he comes off as a weenie quite gentle for the most part, although that's not to say he can't speak rather passionately about the things he cares about. As of getting his memories back in deadland, Slaine still exhibits good posture and politeness, although he also carries himself with far more dignity now, as befitting of someone aristocratic. His actions and movements have a greater degree of decisiveness than before, and he's far better at maintaining his composure.  ♚ SOUND: His Japanese VA is Kensho Ono, while his English VA is Zack Aguilar. Their deliveries are similar enough; both impart a soft quality into Slaine's normal speech and a medium-pitch to his voice. I generally go with his English voice because setting-wise everyone speaking that makes more sense than Japanese, but the performances are close enough that imo it doesn't make that much of a difference?!  ♚ SCENT: like a bat Well, probably just the normal soap + shampoo combination there. He's not the sort that would use cologne or anything like that. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: He's aggressively a normie, so he has no mental shields or anything to protect him from weird people snooping in his head. Also at least 50% of his thoughts probably revolve around Princess Asseylum in some way, shape or form anyways?? why would you want to read his mind for that ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Still a normie!!   ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: I'm generally up for backtagging whenever! I usually prioritize the current week's threads, but I do go back for older ones quite often, even if they may be a couple weeks old. Please hit me up if you want to continue something or we're just a couple of comments away from getting a regain! ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I'd prefer not to, please! Of course, referencing mecha tropes and such is fine and dandy to me but I'd prefer to avoid anything canon-specific. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Sure!! Reactions range from accepting it with a certain degree of dignity, tears, embarrassment or squirming uncomfortably.  ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Slaine absolutely has no powers at all and while he may have a certain degree of self defense knowledge and pretty good reflexes, he's such a noodle that he'll basically crumple if he gets hit in a real fight. In other words, your character can probably beat him up just fine. With that said, if there are to be any injuries more serious than some bruising or scratches, please contact me so we can discuss it in advance! ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm down for it but I keep playing characters that aren't that shippable for one reason or another his heart belongs to Princess Asseylum so it'd seriously be an upward battle for anyone who tries?? Yolo though, we can give it a go if you'd like!   ☄ Permissions ♚ CONTENT WARNING - ABUSE, TORTURE, DISCRIMINATION: Slaine's backstory does involve physical and emotional abuse of a minor in combination with racism, so let me know on this post if you aren't comfortable with that! I don't foresee it being too much of a problem during the weekly logs since he will almost definitely never bring it up unless someone else does first, but I would like to be aware so I can be extra careful! All comments are screened here.
